The Bihar State Health Society (SHSB) has announced the recruitment of 4,500 Community Health Officer (CHO) posts under the National Health Mission (NHM) for the year 2025. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen healthcare services at Health & Wellness Centres across Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • B.Sc. (Nursing) with a six-month integrated Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian/State Nursing Council recognized institute (from academic year 2020 onwards).
    • OR Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with a six-month integrated Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian/State Nursing Council recognized institute (from academic year 2020 onwards).
  • Age Limit (as on April 1, 2025):
    • Minimum: 21 years
    • Maximum:
      • 42 years (Male - UR/EWS)
      • 45 years (Female - UR/EWS, Male/Female - BC/MBC)
      • 47 years (Male/Female - SC/ST)
    • Age relaxation as per government norms.

Salary Details

Selected Community Health Officers will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹40,000/-.
